Here are some of his comments from the article:

JENNIFER ANNISTON (A long time favourite actress of ours, we have loved her since her days in Friends)

Dr Milojevic says: ‘Jen looks great and never seems to age, keeping her appearance looking fresh and youthful.

‘It looks as though she has regular Botox around her eyes and in her forehead as it’s very wrinkle-free. It also appears she’s had neckline Botox to keep her decolletage tight and unlined.’

GWYNETH PALTROW (Another favourite, and our very own living in London)

Nick Milojevic says: ‘I would say Gwyneth Paltrow has had a subtle dose of baby Botox.

‘Gwyneth is naturally beautiful but considering she’s 37 it is possible that she’s had cheek fillers to plump and smooth the skin and also a non-surgical neck lift to tighten the skin beneath her neck.’

SARAH JESSICA PARKER (Sex in the City star)

But Dr Milojevic believes: ‘Although Sarah Jessica Parker looks fantastic and natural, she has almost certainly had Botox in the “frown” lines on the brow and around the eyes.

‘I would say she has possibly had Botox on her jawline as her jaw is distinctively defined and the skin taut in that area.

‘She may have also had fillers in her cheeks, which look rounder than I’d expect on someone with a face as narrow as hers.

‘To keep her skin looking so fresh and bright she may occasionally have chemical peels such as Obagi Blue peel or dermal roller treatment.’

VICTORIA BECKHAM (need we say more)

And despite claiming only her ‘tan and nails’ are fake, Victoria Beckham, 36, seems to have altered dramatically since starting out with the Spice Girls.

Dr Milojevic says:’Victoria Beckham appears to have had more non-surgical treatments than the other celebrities; she is so different from when she started out with Spice Girls.

Weight loss has played a big part in her changing appearance and she is reported to have had laser lypolysis for body contouring, though I don’t believe this has ever been confirmed.

‘She looks to have had Botox, and possibly a non-surgical eyebrow lift which is a combination of dermal fillers and Botox to achieve statement brows.

‘I’m aware that Victoria has had problems with her skin and to keep it looking rejuvenated and fresh I would imagine she has had a mix of medial microdermabrasion and peels to keep her skin radiant and blemish free. ‘

The journalists writing this piece coined a phrase : THE NO TRACE FACE, and we agree, even though these 4 favourite household names have had lots of aesthetic work done , this can only be detected by the professional eye. And this encompasses and confirms all that is good about medical minimally invasive aesthetics… If done by a good and experienced doctor, the results can be perfectly natural. However, as you will see the Daily Mail article goes on to show how , unfortunately there are lots of famous stars out there who were not lucky enough to fall in the hands of a competent and experienced specialist!

As Dr Milojevic put it in his final comment for the article:

‘The beauty of non-surgical treatments is that if they are done well they give a fantastically natural look, leaving patients looking fresher, younger and more healthy without any obvious traces of a doctor’s needle.”

And so say all of us….

Three great aesthetic procedures, one great magazine editor

So why indeed has that Look magazine article stirred my passions so much? (for the original coverage of our latest press outing click on : (http://www.miloclinic.com/blog/?p=239 ).

Well to be honest I am not that bothered about what happened, but it makes for a good blog..

So let me tell you a story…

Following our press coverage in last month’s Grazia, Look magazine contacted me to help them put together an article on 6 of the new procedures loved by the A-listers and they proposed that these were quick nip/tuck procedures, perfect for red carpet outings. Having previously read about our expertise on eye bag and nose procedures, the journalist asked for our help in putting together texts on these two topics. I gave them a long interview and put them in touch with some of our willing patients who would be happy to talk to the press, and having thanked me, the journalist said that she would be in touch when the article was published.

A few days later, the PR agency from the Harley Medical group contacted me (I still do some occasional sessions for them) asking me to talk to Look magazine for an article on new Nip/Tuck procedures, as having heard about my leading status in the field of baby botox, they were very keen for me to give an interview on the topic. This sounds familiar , I thought to myself..

Imagine my surprise when on the day of the article coming out, Milo clinic was only attributed to the eye bag section, baby botox was suddenly the expertise of some phantom doctor at the Harley Medical Group, and most surprising of all, the nose shaping procedures were attributed to an even more invisible doctor at the other large aesthetic chain, Transform. In addition, Juvederm Ultra was suddenly the filler of choice for noses, and restylane for eye bags.. A balancing act me thinks?!

Well as the great Oscar Wilde once said :

“In America the President reigns for four years, and Journalism governs for ever and ever”

And how apt and how correct he was, especially during the current pre election fervour which is sweeping the UK .. (just as an aside, it is my humble opinion that only David Cameron and the Conservatives can save this country right now from a certain apocalypse. Go Dave! I’ll be watching all night on Thursday..and of course Dave will be leading us for 5 years at least.)

In our profession, we rely on journalists quite a lot , we need them to spread the word of our wonderful ever expanding profession, with all it’s daily advances and novelties. We also rely on them to recognise us when we do good work, when we have gained great experiences, and rely on them to spread the word far and wide. And I have learned through years of dealing with journalists, that they are hardly ever wrong. Yes they do need to sell their publications, and that means that they sometimes over step the mark, but usually they are very very fair and give very balanced opinions.

In the case of the Look article we are discussing, it is obvious that it was the editor’s decision to make some of the changes. Was he wrong? As I said, definitely not! At first I thought to myself, rather self boastfully, I AM the leading expert in these 3 fields, and should be credited for it, but when I had time to think I realised that what the editor did made absolute sense. They were trying to give a balanced view, and in describing 6 cutting edge aesthetic treatments, they wanted to point the reader to 6 different centres of excellence. To point the reader to the same clinic for 50% of these procedures, would have just looked lazy and biased…

The new A-List Nip/Tweaks- The latest Milo clinic press coverage in Look magazine

We are proud to announce that Dr Nick Milojevic was once again featured in the UK press last week in the top selling Look magazine. Hot on the heels of last month’s Milo clinic coverage in Grazia , Look again covered Dr Milojevic’s pioneering tear trough treatment, also known as Non-Surgical eyebag removal. The article covered 6 of the new “nip/tweaks” popular with the A-listers, and in fact Dr Milojevic was originally contacted as the leading UK surgeon for 3 of them: non-surgical eye bag treatment, baby botox, and nose shaping procedures, and helped the Look journalist put together all 3 topics. However, as you will see for one reason or another, Dr Milojevic was eventually only specifically mentioned for one of them, but more on that and the fickleness of magazine editors in our latest blog. Milo Clinic in Grazia Magazine– The Rise of the Tweakment

We are proud to inform you that Dr Milojevic and the Milo clinic were featured in last week’s Health and Beauty section of the Grazia magazine on page 136.

Over the last couple of years , Dr Milojevic has been working very hard indeed at developing his techniques for non-surgical eye bag removal (”the tear trough”) procedure as well as his pioneering non surgical nose shaping with dermal fillers, and he is now recognised by the national press as THE leading expert for these two procedures in the UK. These are two procedures with the wow-factor, which can achieve results which were previoulsy deemed only possible through surgical procedures. Dr Milojevic recently gave a press briefing to 20 of UK’s leading journalists on these two procedures, so look out for many more articles featuring Dr Milojevic in the weeks to come.

Dr Milojevic is now being asked to travel the country and the world to teach and lecture on these procedures.

The journalist who wrote the famous article “The rise of the pillow face”, named this article, “The rise of the Tweakment”, a clever play of words, calling these risk and surgery free “tweaks”, which make a big big difference.
